Hi everyone,
For the three of you who taught the course last semester, I have a technical question about how students handed in assignments on their jump drives. Did you collect their j-drives? Or did you download the information onto your computer that day? Or did they download the assignments into blackboard? (I assume that might be complicated with hyper-linked texts, no?)

Hey KW,
So, for shorter assignments, I'd have them just send a copy to my Gmail account and then pull up the documents/images on the department's laptop during class (or, beforehand, I'd download all of them at home, make a single file, and then resend it to myself to save time at QC). For the longer assignments as well as for the three times I looked over their entire body of work, I collected all their flashdrives on a Monday, uploaded everything to my own laptop at home, and then returned them that Wednesday so my students could use them over the weekend (many of my kids used their drives for several classes, so I tried to keep them as little as possible). Hope this was helpful...
Thanks Jesse. That's helpful.
Hi K
I did what JS did too--had them email the small stuff, and collected the drives for the more involved stuff and for portfolio reviews. I agree too that they tended to use these drives for other classes, so weren't too keen on giving them up.
